Case study: FMC at the Wimbledon Championships

For Wimbledon, we supply 15 storage units conveniently located on and just off site. These range from a regular chest freezers, to two 8’x8’ walk-in freezers. Deliveries occur at 5am daily, where our crew fill all of the units on site. After the initial delivery, two of our team remain on site all day to ensure that all ice storage is constantly re-stocked. In 2008 the total ice used for the 14 day event was 85 tonnes.

Case study: Gay Pride, Brighton

Each year by arrangement we take a full 12 tonnes of product and sprinter van to the event site in Brighton. We locate our freezer lorry for the day on site to store ‘just in case’ product and use our van to distribute ice to the many food and drink stalls across the 10 acre event.

Case study: Cricket at MCC, Lords

At Lords and under a supply agreement, we have permanently located freezers for the specific storage of ice. Depending on the game or event, deliveries are ordered the previous day and made before 7am to site. This flexibility is a reflection of the unpredictable nature of the games due to a quickly finished match, or rain stopping play.
